Blue Sky Restaurant on York Beach
In the heart of York Beach, on the Short Sands, a renaissance has begun. The restoration of the historic Atlantic House Hotel includes the addition of a restaurant, Blue Sky on York Beach and Clara's Cupcake Café…a bakery. Don Rivers, of Rivers by the Sea, and his team began the renovations in November of 2006.
Blue Sky on York Beach fills the second floor with a warm and welcoming design and a spectacular menu executed by internationally recognized chef, Lydia Shire. Lydia is legendary for her creativity, vision and signature cuisine.
The cozy dining room was inspired by a print she found dominated by a sky of blue like none other than the sky of York Beach . Beautiful wood finishes, cream banquettes, and a wood burning fireplace are just a few of the touches. In warmer seasons, the porch opens to the breezes that roll in from the ocean and down Main Street.

Gypsy Sweethearts, one of Ogunquit's top restaurants, is a few steps from the village square. Jackie's Too
This comfortable outdoor bar and dining terrace are set with white tables and chairs under the awning, with a clear view of the endless ocean.
Jackie's is so close to the water that the restaurant must remove its terrace every winter to save it from being pounded by the insatiable surf.
The lobstermen pull their boats into dock steps by Jackie's back door and sell their catch.
